Hey, I’m Jaydon! I'm a photographer, creative, storyteller, and probably someone who has a few too many ideas going on at once.

I've been behind a camera since 2014, and while portraits have always been where I feel most at home, my work has evolved quite a bit over the years. These days, I'm focused on editorial photography, personal branding, business content, and creative portraiture throughout Langley and the Lower Mainland.

At the heart of it, I'm interested in people.

The people building businesses from the ground up. The artists creating something nobody else is making. The entrepreneurs putting themselves out there. The brands trying to figure out how to stand apart. And the people who simply have a story they want to tell. That's what drew me to editorial photography.

I don't want to just take a nice photo of you standing in front of a nice background. I want to create imagery that has a point of view. Something that feels intentional, reflects your personality, and gives people a reason to stop scrolling and actually remember you.

For businesses, that might mean creating a library of imagery that brings their people, products, spaces and personality to life. For personal branding, it might mean creating photos that actually feel like the person behind the business. And sometimes, it just means making something completely ridiculous, creative and fun because we can.

But photography isn't the only thing I'm building.

I created Unopposed Magazine as a space to celebrate people who are creating, building and contributing something meaningful to their communities. Through photography and editorial storytelling, Unopposed gives me another way to do what I love most: meet interesting people, hear their stories and help turn those stories into something tangible.

I'm also building Life in Autofocus, a podcast centred around the people behind the work.

The podcast is my excuse to sit down, have a conversation, ask better questions and explore what people are actually like when the camera isn't pointed at them.

I grew up in a small town in Northern BC before moving to the Lower Mainland in 2015, and I've spent the years since discovering the people, places and creative communities that make this part of the world so interesting. Photography gave me a way into those communities. It gave me a reason to meet people, collaborate, explore new places and turn ideas into something real.

That's ultimately what I want my work to be about. People. Personality. Creativity. Stories worth remembering.
